Old Florence Guest House -

For the security and comfort of our guest, the main door of the 1,200 square foot guest house has a keyless security system. Four numbers, chosen by our guest, are programed in and then changed as new guests arrive. Reservations made at the Guest House ensure privacy, for only one group per renting is Our Policy.

The guest house has two separate bathrooms with a large shower in each.One bathroom has a large window which faces south and has a spectacular view of the Illinois River. The full moon shining in at night is beautiful!

This room has been suitably named "The River Bedroom" as it has three tall windows with a direct view of the Illinois River. With two twin beds, the decor in this room reflects life on the river. The bedroom below with a full bed in it reflects the travels of American Bald Eagles through our area many times during the year. There is also room for a rollaway bed
in the room.

All bedroom doors are lockable for your secuirty and privacy. If you're part of a larger group, your belongings will be securely stored in your room.

The huge, comfortable L-shaped kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook, as well as having local establishment menus on the wall for those who don't! Email us for your reservation today!

Other amenities include: bed linens, bath towels, hair dryers, coffee pot, local TV stations, charcoal grill with charcoal provided, roll-away beds, and the couch serves as a sleeping area if a large group makes a reservation (see pricing for maximum occupancy on our Contact Us page). A local paper is also available for your reading pleasure. There is ample parking for guests with more than one vehicle, including a horse-shoe drive.

Our rooms go through a rigorous mean cleaning process. All beds, pillows, furniture, etc are thoroughly cleaned and cared for with proper steam cleaning and vacuuming. We go the extra mile to ensure our guest have a comfortable relaxing environment that seems like home away from home.

As of January 3rd, 2006 we will have Dish Network © Satellite Television installed. Many of the popular stations will be available to guests, as well as weather updates and local news stations from the Quincy / Hannibal area.
